Peer Teaching Method to Support the Students’ Learning Motivation In Arabic Speaking Skills During The Covid-19 Pandemic

The current covid-19 pandemic phenomenon has a major impact on the learning process at various universities in Indonesia. adoption of online lecture system caused by become problem for some lecturers who are still unfamiliar with technological development. This situation is also experienced lecturer teaches Speaking Skill Course Higher Education Central Kalimantan Province as consequence lacking motivation students to attend Course. To overcome this demotivation, Arabic Students’ Association tertiary education institution organizes using ”Peer Teaching Method. Therefore, study aims explore speaking skill process. uses qualitative approach case type and two data collection techniques, namely observation interviews. produced findings. First, there were several steps used organizational coordinator implementing peer teaching method, (1) selecting prospective tutors based their scientific capacity experience field language learning, (2) Active organized interactive games such nurakkizu, word chain, ice breaking. Second, motivational factors participating convenience interaction between age distance that not too far, Peer tutor creativity organizing innovative (3) flexibility communication time students.
